too
This series of eight 4½ x 6 inch watercolor drawings by Jennifer Seas transforms singular words into emotionally loaded text units. Each is painted in black watercolor on found paper and reads: You, me, too, muchness, no, sweat, fuck, or for never.
Designed as stand-alone works or collected as modular pairs, these drawings offer playful, poetic, and sometimes biting combinations — from me, too and no sweat, to fuck you or too muchness. Each word sits alone, declarative and spare, yet open-ended — inviting the viewer to construct meaning, emotion, and syntax through arrangement and relation.
These small works extend Seas’ broader themes of language, intimacy, and feminist critique into a looser, more immediate format — witty, open, and deeply human.
