Part of an ongoing suite of drawings that catalogues poetry books dedicated to the author’s mother, this drawing is articulated in graphite on handmade abaca paper. The prepositional phrase from the dedication page related to each poet’s mother is isolated (omitting any additional details or references to other individuals), and the faint imprint of text on the verso and the shadows cast onto the page from the opened gutter and/or the book-holder’s body are also rendered.
