Long View
Long View
Long View is a 20 x 20 inch framed photographic work from Jennifer Seas’ Float / Sink / Swim series — an ongoing investigation into the poetics of submersion, buoyancy, and bodily presence. This image, like others in the series, explores the affective space between surface and depth, where water becomes both subject and metaphor.
Floated within its frame, Long View offers a suspended sense of time and perspective. The image operates as both a visual document and an emotional terrain, drawing the viewer into the liminal zone where the body interacts with water as a container, a mirror, and a threshold.
Presented in a clean, archival frame that emphasizes the image’s material presence, this piece continues Seas’ inquiry into memory, perception, and the instability of boundaries — between self and environment, between clarity and distortion.
